JoPe Fors & Fjäll takes the lead for exciting whitewater experiences in the area around Åre ski resort. Jonas Persson, who owns and runs this enterprise in Jämtland, claims that the Åre mountains are at their most beautiful in the summer. At any rate, that is when the widest range of adrenaline-pumping activities are on offer.

Jonas has nearly 20 years' experience in whitewater rafting and climbing courses. To maintain his expertise and to be sure to know exactly what he is talking about, Jonas participates in all the activities that the company offers. JoPe now has a well-deserved reputation for excellent levels of service and safety in all areas. Since the company was founded in 1989, whitewater rafting has developed rapidly. JoPe was one of the first companies in Sweden to offer so-called ‘boogie-surfing’ tours, which involve swimming in the rapids, using a float, flippers and safety equipment. Since the beginning of the nineties JoPe has also provided basic training for prospective whitewater rafters, and is now one of the few companies in Sweden that is licensed to train whitewater guides.
